Kornati islands: serenity, rawness & endless blue
There is a story that says that Nobel laureate George Bernard Shaw described Kornati islands as: “On the last day of Creation God desired to crown His work, and thus created the Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.”
Disconnect from the bustle of the coast: bare landscape, sky, crystal seas and serenity of nature. This tour involves trip to the islands of national park Kornati and a pause for lunch at one of the restaurants in the archipelago.
KORNATI IN SHORT
Kornati islands are maybe the most magnificent part of Croatia, definitely most recognisable, and the ones that are out of reach completely, except if you own a boat or book a trip. Consisting of 14o islands and islets, with most of them being part of the national park, Kornati have no permanent settlements, but rather small private houses that were prior temporary home for people to work in the fields on the islands. Some of them are today among famous Croatian restaurants, the others are summer homes of the few.
